Weekend at the Narva Reservoir!

We have not been fishing for a long time … After a month's break, we gathered at one of our favorite reservoirs – the Narva Reservoir. According to the forecast, the weather suited us, so on Friday evening we were already there.

On an early Saturday morning we lower the boat and rush to familiar points. We focus on the pike, but it is extremely inactive. In the first few hours of fishing we see a few pokes. We sort out the bait, place. Closer to dinner, Roman nevertheless persuades the kilos pike to become our lunch.

Once dinner is caught, then it's time to eat it. We land on the island and prepare a fresh fish. It’s hard to convey in words how delicious it is. Juicy golden slices of pike fillet were instantly eaten. Next, we carry out a very successful half-hour mushroom trip around the island. Evening roast promises to be no worse than dinner.

While we were resting, we began to inflate a little. It became clear that fishing would be uncomfortable soon. We manage to enter a deep stone ridge, from where I manage to raise a pleasant treshka. The classic worked – a replica of Shaker from Alexander Narushevich.

A growing wind began to drive us into the river. We walk through the old places, but everything is quiet, the pike obviously does not show appetite. But our perseverance brings results – a 2 kg pike performed by Roman. We consider this a great end to a fishing day.

Sunday morning gave us complete calm and creeping fog. Jigging in the reservoir in such weather is pure pleasure. The pike began to peck a little, but the size is illegal. Even such "herrings" as Sprut Akira Shad in the amount of 175 mm brought us a frank "string" to a kilogram.

We move along the dump, methodically catching it. We decide to decrease by bait in the hope of catching perch. I put the Sprut Midori 70 in a dark brown color, which worked very well for Svir pike perch.

This went on for several hours. We got tremendous pleasure, despite the fact that they caught with ounce spinning rods.

The weekend was very interesting. They caught a little pike, caught a lot of perch, fried fresh fish and picked mushrooms. Well charged for the work week.
