Tackle and catch perch on the first light. Part 1

Tackle and catch perch on the first light. Part 1As you know, the first light almost always begins in small ponds. Here the main fish in the catch will surely be the perch. Moreover, it is usually medium-sized, as the general rule works: a small body of water is a small fish. As practice shows, the other fish goes mainly as by-catch. There are not so many ways of catching perch: a mormyshka with a bloodworm, without a water bottle, a spoon or a balance weight and sticks. With mormyshkoy everything is more or less clear. In general, the tackle is quite simple: “balalaika”, guards and a little jig with a bloodworm. Fishing line with a diameter of somewhere up to 0.12 mm: if the fish is active, it is not necessary to put thinner. It works very well without a camera. On the first ice, this tackle is often the most effective. But despite the effectiveness of the bait, many anglers prefer bait and balancers, as these baits usually come across larger specimens.

Fishing rod

If balmika is the best option in sea tackle, the arsenal of fishing rods for shining is more diverse. All of them are equipped with a handle, thanks to which it is more convenient to play and especially to cut, which is important. This is due to the fact that, taking the jig, the fish holds it for a long time in the mouth, and the minnow bite, on the contrary, is very short, therefore, the hooking should be instantaneous. General requirements for perch rods are simple: compact, light and reliable. Until recently, all fishing rods used in such fishing had a whip, but now an exception has appeared. Let's start with it. This is a model produced by Karismax. Its main difference is that as such a whip this fishing rod is not, but there are quite large "horns" for winding fishing line.

The fishing rod has a reel, a wooden handle with lining and the usual metal nod. Because of the horns, the construction looks strange and irrational, but this is only at first glance. Fishing rod is quite effective when fishing at great depths and frequent transitions from the hole to the hole, which is inevitable during the search for an active predator. At the same time, the line is easy to reel on the horns and then unwind on a new hole without changing the depth. This feature allows you to vyvazhivat fish without discarding the bait, that in the presence of snow or small ice hummocks is very convenient. This very attractive model is just beginning to conquer our market, but anglers with a well-placed hand are already using it and quite successfully.

However, the overwhelming majority of fishing rods sold now are made according to the classical scheme: with a coil and a whip. The models of the Smolensk company “Pirs”, as well as Salmo and Kuusamo, are well known to fishermen. There are classic models and Karismax. Immediately it should be noted that the majority of imported models at the end of the whip has a rigidly fixed tulip, which makes it very difficult to use gatehouses. As far as I know, many companies produce special guards for such whips, but for some reason we don’t have them on offer. Meanwhile, to notice the bite on the whip without the gatehouse is difficult, and when the perch throws up lure, it is simply and impossible.

As for the most common fishing rods, these are primarily products of the Pier company. The rod is available in several versions: with coils of different diameters, handles of different lengths, with a button or coil stopper lever. For the glitter, it is preferable to model it with a button: it allows you to quickly reel and unwind the fishing line. Models with a switch are more suitable for fishing on the "riser". It is advisable to modify the bait by gluing a piece of foam to the body so that you can hook up the spoon. The rod is a fairly hard whip without a tulip, which allows the use of the stalks of any design. In short, this is a workable model.

Salmo and other firms have similar cheap fishing rods, produced mainly in China. Despite this, the fishing rods are quite reliable and have a coil of relatively large diameter. A noticeable minus is the presence of a large tulip, a small plus is an eyelet for attaching a spoon. A fishing rod can be thrown off the ice without thinking: it has virtually nothing to cling to. More expensive models usually have a cork handle and a lever or a stopper button on the coil. The model from Salmo is equipped with a large tulip. Although fishing rod is of high quality, again the tulip complicates the installation of a nod. The second minus is the small diameter of the spool. But in general, the design is quite comfortable and durable.

Trying to find the optimal bait for the luster, I had to construct it myself. The basis was Salmo's fishing pole, but instead of a plastic whip, I installed a piece of thin carbon-plastic knee on it from an ordinary summer telescopic fishing rod. The knee is hollow inside, as a result of which there is an opportunity to skip the line inside the whip. In this design, a big plus – the line can not catch on anything: getting off the reel, it gets into the whip, and then into the guards from the silicone tube. The tip of the gatehouse has two additional cambric: a bright outer and a rather stiff inner one that prevents deformation of the tip of the gatehouse. The fishing rod turned out to be very informative: in addition to the gatehouse, it transmits a bite well and a rigid carbon fiber tube. The fishing rod is focused on the perch, since it is rather weak for pike and especially for perch.

Gatehouse

When fishing on baits and balancers, you can, of course, do without the gatehouse, but this leads to the fact that the angler does not see up to half of the poklevok. Silicone tubes of bright colors or ordinary bicycle nipple rubber are most often used as gatehouses. Soft gatehouses have a big plus in comparison with metal ones: they do not create their own additional oscillations. Metal guards, especially made in the form of a coiled spring, at the time of stopping the movement of fishing rods continue to fluctuate, which knocks the game. In addition, the springs are quickly frosting, rusting, and their sharp edges often cut the fishing line. To avoid this, inside you have to pass through a silicone tube, but this does not improve the work of the gatehouse.

Nods made of thick sheet Dacron behave somewhat better: they are often found on the market and are quite suitable for use with a balancer up to 5 cm. A properly selected gatehouse must meet several requirements. First of all, it should clearly show the bite – no matter, on the throw or on the kick. Secondly, clearly show that the bait has reached the bottom, and fix the moment when it stands on the hook. The length of the gatehouse does not matter, because in the actual game of the bait, he actually does not participate. Usually used stitches 5-6 cm long.
