Ide in wiring

Ide in wiringCatching ide in the wiring, or as it is now fashionable to say, fishing on a Bologna fishing rod is one of my favorite ways of fishing. Whenever the time is right, I strive to get out onto the river and push into the wiring. I rarely encounter fishing enthusiasts in my river, most of them still prefer spinning, fishing rods or a feeder. It is difficult to say why the Bologna fishing rod is not very popular. Perhaps the difficulty in choosing a place, the correct selection of gear, bait with bait and other little things frighten and disappoint most fishermen trying to catch in this way. I catch in wiring almost all year round – from early spring after ice melting until late autumn until the first frosts come. I catch large roach, and rudd, and bream, but nevertheless my favorite fish is ide!

Why? Yes, everything is very simple! Ide is a real fighter! With strong rapid jerks, he tries to go into the depths, his heart skips a beat from his somersaults and jumps, a “horse” dose of adrenaline is thrown into the blood, and after jumping out his hands and pulse shake – mad. The seconds of struggle with a worthy adversary for a long time remain in memory as a single strip of positive emotions. When preparing for fishing, special attention should be paid to tackle, which is exactly what I will talk about today. Most often, fishing is done from a boat – it’s more convenient and easier to get to the treasured place. And most importantly, mobility: you never know where the fish can stand. The five-meter telescope serves as the main fishing rod. But the five-meter should be special – anyway, what kind of telescope does not fit. A fishing rod should satisfy a combination of three basic principles. Ease – because fishing takes more than one hour, and frequent re-throws of the rod will turn your hand into a naughty process.

Stiffness – more precisely, the rod should be both elastic (so that the tip does not hang out and there is a clear cut), and thin (in order to extinguish the jerking of strong fish during fishing). The third condition – preference should be given to a rod equipped with lightweight access rings, preferably on one leg. In order to less affect the system, if we can talk about the structure in relation to telescopes. You ask why the five-meter, and, say, not a match rod. Let's say this is the best option. If you take shorter fishing rods, even the kilogram ide fishing turns into a whole event. And we need to remove the fish from the school as quickly as possible without scaring the rest of the brethren. Now about the material of the bolonaise. Definitely: the latest carbon composites have the most favorable characteristics. Last year I chose Salmo XM Bolognese rods. They, in my opinion, have an optimal price-quality ratio and are available to all anglers even in small towns and villages.

These rods are light enough and the hand does not get tired of working with them for a long time. The margin of safety is impressive – even with forceful survival of the ide, when it must be quickly removed from the pack, there were no problems. I’ll also pay attention to a modern high-quality reel seat and two unloading access rings on the last rod of the rod. A sufficiently rigid system allows you to accurately and timely make a cut, which is especially important.

We’ve chosen a rod, let's move on to the “fishing rod’s heart”. The question arises: which is better to put the coil? Until recently, my preferences were given to simple inertia of small size. The habit and automatism of the actions performed with the reel did not allow re-equipping with “meat grinders”. I tried to put different models of inertia, but could not get along with them. Small coils from reputable manufacturers on the market simply did not exist. There were Shimano coils, but the price was a little scary. And others sometimes failed at the very first fishing trip. One of the first light, high-quality inertialess reels appeared in the Okuma assortment, and I immediately adopted them. A great option, both in price and in quality – Salmo inertialess – Elite Match and Diamond Match.

We figured out the coil, the next stage is the equipment. Most fishermen think that tackle without a leash is not acceptable. My opinion is that the fish is afraid of thick fishing line, with respect to ide ideally unacceptable. Of course, it is not necessary to reel on a coil of 0.4 mm, but simply a quality 0.2 mm – such as, for example, Raider. Now for the hooks. There is an opinion: the smaller the hook, the better the hook, and the fish are less afraid. But ide is fast-moving fish, and its bite lasts a split second. I didn’t have time to hook it up – that's it, consider the prey is gone. All the same, we must reasonably approach this problem. I consider small hooks sizes from No. 19 to No. 14, the most catchers are No. 12-8 according to international classification. The shape of the hook can be any of a lineup designed to catch roach, ide or carp. The color of the hook, although slightly, affects catchability. Best when it is in harmony with the color of the nozzle. For corn and peas – gold, for a worm – black, for pearl barley – white. But the most important thing: the hook should always be sharp, so I choose Cobra hooks.
