Continuation of the report from the Russian Championship on spinning from boats.

Continuation of the report. 1st round of competitions.

Hello friends! I continue to talk about our performance at the Russian Championship in fishing with spinning. Starting number 25, a total of 26 crews. There is a game plan, and we stick to it. We go to the first point with a perch, the transition time is about twenty minutes. I catch on a branch, a partner on a jig. We get up near the crust and begin to catch it, the first cast and the first bite, good resistance and the first test perch is recorded on the chip card. Casting bite, offset. Throwing a bite, caught a few pieces and the bite stopped.

We start working on the other side of the crust. Vova makes a cast and he has a bite of pike, a worthy fight, I am ready to take fish with a hooker, start a fish and put it in a boat. We measure a pike 75 cm, an excellent instance. We continue to fish further, we just have to catch 4 fish. The toothy dispersed the perch and for some time we fished for nothing, but soon the bites resumed and we added the amount of fish that we needed. After the perch we rush to pike points.

The transition took about 15 minutes and we are there. The fishing place is a huge tree in the water, a couple more snags under water, the current holds 45 g and allows you to comfortably catch. We start fishing, on the second throw, the partner catches a pike, measures 51 cm. Casts on black foam from Onlispin, a leash of 30 cm from the same company, the load touches the bottom, I make one toss of the bait, the second and hit, hook, and begin to fight the fish against the tide. The partner works with the scaffold, carefully we put the toothy into the net of the landing net and measure 70 cm. Now we have three pikes and 7 perches in the map. In the perches, the total length is 221 cm, two pikes, one 75 and 70, plus 51 cm, we decide to enlarge at this place. We do the permutation and catch the pike 68 cm.

While everything is going according to plan, we are moving to a pike perch, this point is in the upper part of the water area and the transition time takes about 30 minutes. In this place the current is stronger, the depth is 6 meters, we start fishing. An unreliable bite begins at the partner, on the next posting he nevertheless cuts through the fish and asks him to work as an henchman, and the slow fishing of the fish begins. In such places, any fish can be caught, we don’t need a pike, I’m waiting for Vova to pick up the fish – this is pike perch, excellent, we put it in the net. Measurement 53 cm, set off from 45 cm, try to catch more. The time until the end of the competition remains about one hour, the fish in this place are no longer caught, we are moving closer to the start. The total length of our fish caught is 4 m 33 cm. At the finish line, the second crew calls us and says that their motor has broken and they cannot reach the finish line. The head judge allows us to help and we rush to their aid. We take them in tow and slowly arrive at the base. After calculating the results, our team is in 5th place, we are in PM 4, so far so good. We do not change the game and do it tomorrow the same as today.

Second round.
We start second and go to the perch. From the first two casts I take two perches of 27 cm, then quietly, the pike again rose to the point. Catching a jig is silent, I continue to catch by-pass I get a bite and a slice … We lose another half hour at this point and continue to search for striped. As a result, they found it under the shore, the first bite and perch 30 cm, then you have to calibrate it. We catch a lot of non-credits, sometimes the credits slip. With difficulty we close 10 fish and leave for the pike.

The local crew is in a pike place, not athletes, but they are above our point, and athletes are in the second production. We get up on the first production and after casting the fourth partner gets a bite and begins to fight, I'm with a landing net. We start fish, measure it and release it. We try to catch there again, but without bite, at the second point, the athletes fish and leave the point. We try there, without result.

We are breaking into the pike perch point, the longest transition and this was our mistake. Upon arrival at the place and rising to the point, we see that the motor guide simply does not hold us. Strong currents and gusts of wind interfere with us, trying to catch, but without result. Having lost precious time, we leave for the bay, where during training I was small and had bites. But there is wind, the fry was blown away from there. There is no way out, and we go to the finish. The second crew again had a motor breakdown and they again lost a lot of time on its repair, and the road to the finish line. They handed over the protocol and went to collect things, as they planned to leave home at night. An hour later, the protocols were posted, where in the individual event we flew to 8th place, and in the team event we became 8.
During training and the competitions themselves, I mainly caught on foam rubber and offset, there was no even a word about doubles. A huge number of snags were not allowed to catch with open hooks. On baits, black foam worked better, I tried green, purple, blue bite was not. Vibrant and acid colors ranging from 3 inches worked on rubber. Leads Onlispin 30 cm long were saved from pike teeth, Milmax rubber was torn and the same pike teeth were cut. The cargo was used from 30 g to 80 Tula firms.
Thanks to our judge Dmitry, for spending two days in the boat and for honestly measuring the fish.
Thanks to our second crew, for the fight until the last minute, for the fact that they did not give up and fought bad weather to the end.
Thanks to teammate Vladimir Sakharov for the game, we almost succeeded.
Thanks to the guys from Onlispin, the Milmax company and the Tula freights for their bait and rigging.
About the new fishing format: the judge in the boat is good, but not for PVC.
Hello guys from the team of the Moscow Region 1.
Thanks to the organizers and everyone who cheered for us.
Sincerely, Dmitry Gavrilov.
