Today was my day off, but our favorite forecasters promised a little rain in the afternoon, and the weather was cloudy pike in the morning, and still decided to go for a run on rough terrain with a spinning rod. A peaceful fish is harvested on the bridge over the river, crucian carp and rudd, maybe the pike will be caught. And the water is smooth and mirrored, beauty, even the clouds fit in harmoniously.
Arriving at the fork in the two canals, I saw that there’s still a lot of duckweed in it and I definitely won’t go there, and in the left, which communicates with the Vodichka River, it’s more clean and I’ll start the search at the proven points.
The water in most places is very clear and this dictates the choice of color of the bait, so I started with a small wobbler Sprut Shigu 70F natural color, red-headed and this color is working. For a long time I went casting to different places, I began to think that today the pike is not in the mood at all, until I got a bite by slowly wobbled along the reeds. A small pike immediately jumped out of hiding and attacked the bait with a turn, and spotted behind the rear tee.
Further silence and walk had a long time. At the next place where clean water ends and a continuous carpet of duckweed begins, I throw it into clean water and lead to the shelter with short jerks, the wobbler plays quite sweeping at the same time, and almost at the duckweed itself it flies and attacks, another trifle.
The second bite and pike on a small wobbler, new to my arsenal and immediately caught, it pleases. And again, the transition and the search for places, there were a couple of exits, but she came down almost immediately and didn’t get it anyway even by changing the bait.
The sky began to thicken overhead and decided to go in the opposite direction, sometimes casting. I don’t know why, but in one place where there’s a kind of mud at the bottom, I saw a small window with clear water about 4 meters long and cast a Sprut Fudo 80SP wobbler there, with a leash of Sprut Titanium Mono it began to sink very slowly and it is the other way around, and I can play with them in short jerks practically on the spot. It was just at such jerks that the pike attacked, I immediately felt that it was larger and stronger, 800 grams in weight, and sent a beautiful woman after the photo. There was no bite anymore and all the places had already been completed, so the fishing was a success and you can go home until it rains.
