Behind a stavrid with STRONG’s

Today I again decided to get out in the evening at sea, with the aim of driving the horse mackerel a little. The weather was just wonderful: warm, almost no wind, as a result – the sea is calm and extremely comfortable for fishing. In addition, today I was going for a specific purpose – to drive the SPRUT stretch lures, which I stocked just for horse mackerel, we are talking about two lures, this is the classic SPRUT TAKARI STRONG slug and the two-tailed SPRUT KANTO STRONG slug.

In general, stretch silicone is very convenient. The baits are tenacious and sit better on the hook than ordinary silicone. Yes, these baits require proper storage, but the pros completely cover this minor minus. And for horse mackerel, the baits are simply perfect in form, moreover, these two STRONG representatives are available in light-accumulating colors, for TAKARI STRONG these are SLM and MGR-UV, for KANTO STRONG only SLM.

Today I started fishing with KANTO STRONG in the color SLM, and immediately began to come across horse mackerels. I note right away that it was this bait that brought horse mackerel larger than TAKARI STRONG. The horse mackerel kept in the lower layers of water, therefore I caught it on a rather heavy jig head weighing 1.2 grams.

Having caught two dozen decided to go to the second bait. Last year, during a trip to the Black Sea, I already tried these baits, and the MGR-UV coloring showed itself best, but today it almost did not work. Yes, I persuaded the heels of the fish, but they were all clearly more laborious, biting sluggish and cautious.

Changing the color to orange, things started to get better again. And the fish clearly liked this light-accumulating bait chip. Over time, the bait ceased to glow, and the fish already reacted to the bait less aggressively, but as soon as it was "recharged" with its flashlight, the bites would resume again. Usually this was enough for 3-4 postings.
Soon the breakwater was a little stuck and I went to look for her in other places. Everything would be fine, but on warm nights, in addition to the fishermen, there are a lot of vacationers, and besides, fishing takes place almost in the center of the resort town. And, as an evil, they spend their leisure time just on the breakwaters. I ran over a couple of breakwaters, picked out heels of horse mackerels and decided to finish fishing on this.
In general, the exit was successful. In general, now every fishing on the sea is something new for me. Much remains to be learned, much remains to be understood in this interesting and peculiar catch.
