Today, before another fishing trip, sorting out spinning rods, I caught myself thinking that I had never gotten out with the Maximus Streetracer 18XUL rod for a Caucasian chub. Nevertheless, this twig has been with me for almost two years, during this time I managed to catch a lot of different freshwater and marine predators with it, but it still does not have a white-chub. In addition, under the conditions of my main rivulet by characteristics, it fit very, very well. The choice is made, and in the evening I rush to the river.
In general, earlier I already took this rod during last year’s trip to the Urals, he caught his one chub there, but the ruddy and only one, so the situation definitely needed to be corrected. And here is the river, slightly cloudy weather. I put the already pretty poyuzanny LureMax Dotty in green and yellow colors and proceed to fishing. The first bite of the fish was not long in coming.
The behavior of fish changes every day, and today chubs preferred more relaxed conditions: pits, small backwaters, calmness near stones and under overhanging trees.
The fish is quite active, Dotty as usual did not fail. Today, finally, deeper holes have begun to manifest themselves somehow. The last days after the rain, they practically did not work, but today small chubs began to move on them. So it’s possible in the next fishing season it will be possible to try to catch a larger fish. But catching nerds on easy spinning was a lot of fun, and, despite their small size, the white-feathers bent Streetracer very well on the game.
Then I remembered that in the box I had a box with small handmade wobblers-bugs. I began to offer them to chubs in various shallow areas.
Fishing is quite interesting, it was very important to accurately place the bait in the right place. And if everything was done correctly, then the bite itself was not long in coming. Often there were bites on the "plush". It was also very important to get as accurately as possible to the points. Nevertheless, the water became clear, and in shallow water the fish sees the fisherman very clearly. If, when approaching, you step on a branch, stumble on a stone, then the fish immediately becomes alert or even begins to hide under the stones. A real hunt for small white-feathered predators has come out.
As a result, for a two-hour walk I managed to catch about a dozen small chubs. Definitely, the Maximus Streetracer 18XUL fits in perfectly with the fishing conditions of this small river, now this twig will often go with me for the chub.
