Another novelty in the assortment of Akara is Trout EL Sport spinning rod. This is the author’s development of Evgeny Lebedev, the Russian champion in pond trout fishing. But despite the fact that this is a specialized trout tool, it is also great for microjig fishing.
This is what the further story will be about. Let’s start with the general characteristics of these spinning rods. The test is claimed from 0.5 to 4.5 grams. Length – 1.98m. The series includes two models – with a split (Akara Trout EL Sport), and a classic handle (Akara Trout Time EL). Their weight is 77 and 86 grams, respectively. The blanks of the spinning rods are made of high-modulus TX-40 (50-ton) carbon made by the Japanese concern Toray, and have a glued-in tip of the “Solid” type.
As for the personal impressions of fishing with this spinning rod, we used the model with the spaced handle, they are extremely positive. Paired with an Akara Ultra Lite 1000 reel and a thin # 0.2 cord – the set turned out to be very light and delicate. Accordingly, you get incredible pleasure from the fishing process! With the casting of the lightest “microrough” rigs, there are no problems at all, the control on the wiring, even under adverse weather conditions, is at a very high level.
There is no question at all about fixing bites – all the slightest touches of the fish to the bait are transmitted clearly to the hand. That is, spinning completely coped with the tasks, although this is not quite his specialization. I also tried to fish with this twig and with jigs, having previously replaced the lace with a thin monofilament with a diameter of 0.08 mm. Mormyshki used weighing in the range from 0.3 to 0.5 grams, with the addition of various silicone imitations. And with such a catch, everything worked out great too. Already on such a tackle, even a very small fish seems to be a worthy rival, what can we say about larger specimens. In general, the experience of fishing with such thin tackle is really unforgettable, and the right spinning rod only enhances the resonance, in every sense of the word.
